Will you be the next Dr. Are disrespectful? Are you the best Rocket League player you know? Your non stop captions on your couch entertain your gaming friends so much that they want you to never stop, never stop? It is possible that you have thought about streaming on Twitch.
If you’re watching a professional streamer in League of Legends this may sound a bit complicated, but it’s very easy to show faces and play live games on Twitch.
PC games are often the most popular to stream on Twitch, and they rely on a different setup than console games, so now we’ll focus on that. You can use several commands, including a game command called hardware, to stream your console game.
1. Rate your device
To stream, you’ll need a few things: a good PC, a video game, a headset with a microphone, and a webcam. Many streamers use a second monitor to read twitch chat, but this is not necessary. (You can use your phone)
1. Let’s break it down
Your computer must have Intel Core i5-4670 or AMD Equivalent with at least 8 GB of memory. It should also run at least Windows 7 Home Premium.
Obviously your graphics card should be able to handle the game you are trying to play and your internet must be stable. (LAN connection is ideal)
It is good to have a headset with a microphone, which is your typical gaming headset, so if you are speaking into a microphone with game sound in the speaker, there is no suggestion.
2. Create and customize a twitch account
Use a game tag, a Twitter username, or whatever and create a Twitch account. If you want to customize it, choose a cute avatar.
Many streamers share little information about their favorite game or PC requirements on their channel page, which can be linked to the edit panel section of the channel page.
3. Download the broadcast software
Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is free and easy to use. There are many other options, such as XSplit, which is not free, but easy to use, and gameshow, as you are just starting out, assuming that you are using OBS.
4. Set Up Your Broadcast Software
After downloading the software, go to your settings. Make sure your default language is correct. In the “Stream” tab, choose “Twitch” as your source. You will then be prompted to enter your stream key.
Open the Twitch website and you will find your stream key on your dashboard. This will allow you to broadcast in Twitch with the press of a button directly from your broadcast application.
To make sure your video bitrate is not too high, run your software settings. (These are Twitch’s guidelines.) Make sure your camera and microphone are selected.
Finally, let’s talk about the scene and its source. Sources are the sources of things that you see and hear in the stream, such as video games, cameras, pictures, etc. Views are a collection of different sources that can switch between a streamer.
For example, let’s say I have to make a sandwich myself and stop Overwatch from streaming. I can have the logo and the message “I’ll be right back” to play on screen with music.
These are all sources, and for my audience to be able to reach them at the same time, I would click on that scene to “get back on the right track”.
To stream PC games to Twitch, set a scene with a name like “Game Stream”. OBS knows that when you start playing PC games, “game capture” is one of your sources (“window capture” is more difficult, so it doesn’t matter.
When you start a game, OBS will source it. Add your microphone as the source, and if you want to use the camera, add a “video capture device” as the source.
You can adjust where it appears on the screen by clicking on the source. And you can adjust the input volume and desktop volume as you see fit.
5. Prepare something that is not a game
If you are going to turn on shampoo! drink water! Wear a cute outfit if that’s your thing.
As long as you are not afraid of offending yourself, stay warm for the sport of your choice. Think about what to say to introduce yourself. Maybe train them too
Plan Your Stream Would you be playing a marathon game? If yes, prepare some food. Do you have a tight schedule? Then calculate how long your gaming session should be.
If it’s an online game, consider turning off your teammate’s voice chat so that your audience can hear you, or mute yourself in the game, so that you can talk to your audience without being upset by your teammates.
In Twitch, change the name of your stream to reflect what you’re playing.
6. Record test stream
Even if you are an amateur, but you also do not want your stream to look and sound as real in OBS, try to record a fake 30 second stream and listen to it.
